Why businesses need facebook


You'd be very wrong if you just thought that Facebook was just a social Network for the young... The biggest users of it are 35 and over.


In today's market you have got to keep up with the latest trends and one of the biggest is Facebook for business. Businesses and Marketers all around the globe are taking advantage of this new web platform that is happening.


Just recently (January 2011) Facebook become the most visited site on the whole Internet knocking the big Google to the number 2 slot. There's talk in the future of Facebook having it's own search engine to compete with Google.


Currently there are over 600 Million active users on Facebook, active means that they have visited Facebook within the last 30 days, and they believe that will surpass 1 Billion by the end of 2012. 50% of those users log in to their accounts every day and spend on average 58 minutes on there. There are 150 million mobile Facebook users and growing daily.


Now you know you can't ignore Facebook as a way for Businesses and marketers to make money.
Once you've opened an account you obviously need to start adding friends, but a word of warning don't add to many at once, probably no more than 20 a day otherwise you may get yourself banned.
