Now you know you can't ignore Facebook as a way for Businesses and marketers to make money.

Once you've opened an account you obviously need to start adding friends, but a word of warning don't add to many at once, probably no more than 20 a day otherwise you may get yourself banned. When requesting someone to be your friend always add a short message, and always send one back when they accept.

Start to join Groups that are relevant to the niche that your in and start to interact with your new friends and the groups you've joined. Add status updates telling people about interesting things, build relationships and most of all be helpful. Let people know things about you as a person.

The best way to monetize Facebook for business is to get a Fanpage, on that you can put an opt in page to capture peoples names and email addresses, incentivize this by offering them something of value for free such as an eBook or a free report.

When Marketing on Facebook the main aim is to build up a loyal a group of friends that will hopefully turn into buyers.

When people visit your fan page try and encourage them to hit the like button, that way all of your friends friends get to see that they like your site and then hopefully they'll take a look at your page as well.

Another great way to use Facebook for business is to start using Facebook advertising it's much cheaper than Google AdWords and a lot more targeted to the person that your trying to advertise to.
